Rental Policy
At Eye Drive Car Rental, we keep our rental policy simple, transparent, and stress-free. No hidden surprises — just clear conditions and friendly local service.
General Terms
- The car models shown are indicative and may be replaced with a similar or upgraded model.
- Drivers must hold a valid EU or International driving license, issued at least one year prior to rental.
- Rental rates are based on pickup and return at the same location.
- Rental periods are calculated on a 24-hour basis from the pickup time.
Restrictions and Special Conditions
- International one-way rentals are not available.
- Transportation between islands is strictly prohibited.
- One-way rentals within Crete may be possible upon request.
Any compulsory or additional charges not included in the rate are payable locally at the time of rental.
Insurance Exclusions
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Reckless driving or serious traffic law violations

Booking Process

- Select your pickup location, rental dates, and preferred return time.
- Click Search to view all available vehicles for your chosen location.
- Choose your car, fill in your details, and complete the checkout process.
Payment Options
- 15% deposit can be paid securely online by credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer.
- The remaining balance is paid on arrival, either in cash or by credit card.
Confirmation and Refund Policy
After confirmation, you will receive a booking voucher with all rental details. If your holiday is canceled, your deposit will be fully refunded.

Optional Full Insurance (Deductible Reduction)
All rentals include standard insurance with a deductible amount depending on vehicle category:
- €700 – Small cars
- €1000 – Large family cars / Jimny
- €1400 – SUVs
- €1800 – Minibuses
For extra peace of mind, you can reduce your liability to €0 by choosing optional full insurance:
- €10/day – Small cars
- €11/day – Family cars
- €12/day – SUVs / Jimny
- €16/day – Minibuses
This option can be selected during checkout or upon vehicle pickup. Please note that prices may vary slightly when purchased on arrival.
With this package, no credit card guarantee or pre-authorization is required.
Optional full insurance does not cover damage to the underside of the vehicle, tires, or glass breakage.
Minimum Age
The minimum age to rent a car with Eye Drive Car Rental depends on the vehicle category. All drivers must hold a valid driving license for the required minimum period.
Standard Cars
- Minimum age: 21 years
- License requirement: held for at least 1 year
Mid-Sized and Larger Vehicles
- Minimum age: 23 years
- License requirement: held for at least 2 years
Minibuses and Special Categories
- Minimum age: 25 years
Drivers Over 75
For drivers over the age of 75, the full insurance package is required. A valid credit card must be presented at pickup and used as a guarantee.
An additional fee of €10 per rental day applies.
Fuel Policy
Your rental vehicle will be delivered with a certain fuel level. Please return the car with the same fuel level as received.
- No refunds are provided for excess fuel upon return.
- If the fuel level is lower than at pickup, the difference will be charged.
- Please refuel at a trusted gas station shortly before returning the vehicle.

All optional extras are shown clearly during booking. Below are the most common additional services that may apply.
Child Seats
- Child seat / booster seat: €2.00 per day
Airport Delivery Outside Office Hours
- Delivery between 22:00 – 08:00: €20.00 surcharge
One-Way Rentals
- Available within Crete upon request
- Minimum rental period: 1 week
- Extra charge: €60.00
- Luxury vehicles may have different conditions
